Thoughts

Dear Daddy - I miss you so much, your wisdom, your comforting in times of need, you have always been there for me come thick or thin. I will never forget those times as a young child when you would scoop me up in your arms and take me to work with you, loading my tricycle, scooter and packed lunch in the back and off we went in the truck or lorry. Those moments at Colchester and Ipswich Cattle Markets when you were selling or buying livestock and telling me to keep looking at the floor in case the Auctioneer thinks I was bidding ! My first driving lesson was with you and you, very cruelly took me to the top of North Hill in Colchester and made me do a hill-start ! It was all part of bringing me up to face both good and bad and be prepared for the unexpected and goodness we've had a lot of both ! Come hell or high water you have always been there to support me and for this I will always be very thankful, it has been an absolute pleasure to be your daughter and I am sure I have instilled a lot of what you taught me into my wonderful boys. You are already sorely missed but I did not like to see you in that terrible pain and am so glad that I left you listening to Smooth Radio that night when you slipped away from us - RIP Daddy - love from your one and only Debs XX

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
